Is There Meaning to Life?We live in a day when the thinking of mankind has changed over the years but the basic nature of every human being has not changed. The human heart is the same today as ever. Everyone needs to know that God “hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him” – Psalm 103:10-11. God is a God of grace. It all begins, not with our trying in some way to make ourselves acceptable to God, but with God providing redemption for us through His Son Jesus Christ Who died as a sacrifice and atonement for our sins on the cross and rose again as a living Saviour and the One in whom we need to place our trust. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” – Ephesians 2:8-9. Getting to heaven or salvation is not a work to be achieved but a gift to be received.
We all have questions: Is there meaning to life? What happens when we die? Where will we be after death? The single most important question that you will ever answer is this - “If you were to die today, would you spend eternity in Heaven with God?” Your relationship to God through Jesus Christ is the key to that question. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” – John 3:16. This earthly life is so brief, so temporary and so fragile. God loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him in heaven. |
